On the one hand we consider ourselves to be ‘creatives’, contributing imaginative fresh ideas to the project and on the other hand, we are like scientists or engineers developing the lighting ideas and turning them into a reality. We are passionate about lighting and really care about the way things are seen. We provide a complete independent lighting design service from concept to completed project. At Neuman Lighting Design our expertise includes electrical lighting design, bespoke luminaire design and quantitative lighting evaluations and lighting project management during the construction phase.

Sam Neuman BA MSc – Lighting Designer

Sam developed his passion for lighting through his training in Art School and working in night venues preparing and operating multi media lighting events. After passing his degree with top honours, Sam went on to study the MSc in Light and Lighting at the Bartlett University College London. Over the past 15 years, Sam has dedicated his career solely to architectural lighting design working in turnkey multidisciplinary design studios and building services companies. In 2009, Sam founded his own lighting design practice 'Neuman Lighting Design Ltd'.

Sam’s lighting design portfolio includes an extensive range of projects from lighting for retail flagship stores, shopping centres, airports and urban master planning to theatres, art galleries, detailed residential schemes and light art.

Sam regularly presents lectures and seminars and publishes articles in the lighting design press.
